Young and Restless has some big developments ahead, including the anticipated proposal coming from Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian). As already revealed in the spoilers for the week, Danny will propose to Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) in this week’s Young and Restless, putting the seal on a decades-long saga that still has fans hooked.
Damian opened up about this exciting storyline in a recent interview.

Michael Damian joined Young and Restless in 1980. After his departure in 1988, he kept returning to the show time and again. Years have gone by, and his bond with Christine has only matured and become something more beautiful than before. “It’s come to that point where they both want to take it to the next level, and where else could that be?” Damian teased about their next step, hinting at a wedding in the near future. Damian further opened up about their relationship and the “special” things to expect from this upcoming proposal. “We have such a great time and a great rapport and great respect for each other,” Damian noted. “They were each other’s first love, so I think it’s really wonderful that they found it again. This time, it’ll be even better,” he added about their 35-year-old connection.
But what makes this upcoming story arc more interesting is the fact that the proposal itself will be a grand one. Michael Damian also spoke about this in the same interview, as he praised the writers for doing a great job on this episode.
“Josh [Griffith, executive producer and head writer] and his team wrote something great. I don’t want to give away everything, but Danny sets up something pretty special, and the audience is going to get to relive some of the great highlight moments of their relationship going way back,” the actor said. “And that’s pretty rare where you can dig into the vault. It’s like a time warp, and it’s very touching and really beautiful. Of course, Lauralee is brilliant in it, and I’m mediocre [laughs], but I hope the audience enjoys it.”
He concluded, saying, “We’ll bring the audience on this nice, magical mystery tour.” So, there is every reason in the world to be excited about this upcoming arc on Young and Restless.
