A selection of recent work by New York-based artist Dominique Fung (previously featured here). A Canadian artist with ancestry in Hong Kong and Shanghai, Fung’s practice explores the liminal territory in which tradition, memory and legacy seep into our collective subconsciousness. Fung casts light on overlooked or forgotten stories, using specific historical artifacts she infuses with living qualities and complex non-linear narrative paths to model a new, broader, alternative space of belonging.
