Dexter Morgan’s return to New York City already looks like his most dangerous chapter yet. Paramount+ unveiled the first official photos from Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, teasing new threats, familiar faces, and a killer lineup of additions to the cast.
What the first official Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 photos reveal about the upcoming season
Paramount+ dropped the first batch of official photos from Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 on July 28. The images give fans an early peek at the next chapter for Michael C. Hall’s iconic antihero. The streaming service confirmed the sophomore season will premiere later this year on the Paramount+ Premium Plan.
The season’s premise places Dexter in a dangerous new position within New York City. He becomes trapped between two killers, one already well known and another striking the city unexpectedly. On top of that, Dexter faces what the show describes as “his greatest enemy yet: a mid-life crisis.” Jack Alcott’s Harrison separately pushes forward with his own sense of justice alongside his father.
Several photos hint at major character developments heading into the new season. One still suggests Harrison has stepped into a law enforcement career of his own. A separate image captures Uma Thurman’s Charley sharing a charged moment with Dexter. Fans also spotted Shavo Odadjian appearing as a new character called R.H. Martin.
The cast expands significantly with heavyweight additions for the upcoming season. Brian Cox, Dan Stevens, Emmy winner Bokeem Woodbine, and Nona Parker Johnson all join as series regulars. Gabriel Luna comes aboard as a guest star, and Krysten Ritter reprises her role in a guest capacity. Desmond Harrington’s Joey Quinn also steps up with a bigger presence after becoming a series regular.
Clyde Phillips, an Emmy-nominated showrunner, continues to lead the series as executive producer. Paramount Television Studios and Counterpart Studios are behind the production.
The first season of Dexter: Resurrection remains available exclusively on the Paramount+ Premium Plan.
