The Poco C51 was launched in April 2023, and now it seems like Xiaomi’s sub-brand is busy working on its successor which might be imminently announced. We’re talking about the Poco C61, which has been spotted in the Google Play Console.
The listing in question gives us the image you can see below and also reveals the fact that the low-end handset is running Android 14 out of the box, and it’s powered by MediaTek’s Helio G36 SoC. The chipset is the same one used in the C51, so we’re hoping other things have been upgraded nevertheless.
RAM isn’t one as it’s still 4GB, while the phone will boast an LCD screen with 720×1650 resolution and 320 ppi density. Compared to the C51, the C61 gives you 50 more vertical pixels.
No other details have been outed by the listing, but thanks to a Bluetooth certification we know that the Poco C61 will essentially be a rebranded Redmi A3, a phone that got official in February. That said, they might not be fully identical, since the Poco has a hole-punch for the selfie camera, while the Redmi employs a waterdrop notch instead.
The Redmi A3 has a 6.71″ screen size, an 8 MP rear camera alongside a decorative 0.08 MP auxiliary lens, a 5 MP selfie snapper, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 10W wired charging. The Poco C61 might inherit most, if not all of these specs.
