Predator: Hunting Grounds is getting some major upgrades over the next two years, including a release on current-gen platforms, developer IllFonic announced on Thursday.

In collaboration with 20th Century Games, IllFonic is set to release two major upgrades to the 1v4 asymmetrical multiplayer game in 2024, with the first update set to arrive in April.

The 2.49 update will include updates focused mainly on player movement, fireteam weapon reworking and balancing, Predator weapon balancing, and UX/playability improvements. This update will be for the current versions of the game on PlayStation 4 and PC.

Big updates planned throughout 2025

Sometime later in 2024, a second major update will arrive, which will bring the game to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

This version of the game is described as a “next-gun” version running on Unreal Engine 4.27, and will come with a Standard and Digital Deluxe Edition. Currently, no upgrade information is available for those who already own the game.

Finally, IllFonic also detailed some extra plans for the future of Predator: Hunting Grounds. In the winter of 2024, new DLC will arrive in the form of new Predators, and sometime in the spring of 2025, even more new Predators will arrive. No information on either of those DLC packs has been revealed as of yet, however, with IllFonic instead choosing to update fans later in the year.
