In the wake of her hospitalization, several of Anne’s engagements were postponed or canceled, including her attendance at a banquet honoring Japanese Emperor Naruhito and a trip abroad to Canada.

After a five-night stay in the hospital, Anne—whom NBC News confirmed had been suffering from memory loss as a result of the accident thought to have been caused by a horse—returned home to continue her recovery.

“I would like to extend my warmest thanks to all the team at Southmead Hospital,” Anne’s husband, Tim Laurence, told Reuters June 28. “For their care, expertise and kindness during my wife’s short stay.”
