First look at Yelena Belova in Thunderbolts* revealed at D23 Expo 2024
The D23 Expo 2024 featured the first looks of various Disney projects through a sizzle reel, increasing anticipation among fans. As seen in a post by Fandango on X (formerly known as Twitter), the said reel showcases Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova’s first official look in Thunderbolts*. In it, she is seen donning her Black Widow outfit and sporting short hair with a middle partition while smiling at the screen.
Although the glimpse doesn’t tease much about the film, Yelena Belova’s modified look does indicate that some time has passed since her last appearance. The character was first introduced in Scarlett Johannson-led Black Widow. She is a highly-trained spy and is the adoptive sister of Natasha Romanoff.
After appearing in the 2021 movie, Belova’s role got carried forward in Hawkeye. She came to seek revenge on Clint Barton, holding him accountable for her sister’s death. However, her misunderstandings were cleared in the finale, further setting her character for a star-studded outing in the potential Thunderbolts* movie.
