We were the first to feature this series by photographer Caleb Stein back in 2019 and have continued to cover Stein’s work since. The project has grown over those years as well, now spanning over a decade of work around the same communal swimming hole along a creek in Poughkeepsie. “Down by the Hudson” is now published by Palo Gallery Press. The book coincides with a solo exhibition at Palo in New York September 10–October 3, 2026, followed by presentations with Sixteen World Collection during Paris Photo, Book & Job Gallery in San Francisco (January 2027), as well as a solo exhibition at Blue Sky Gallery in Portland (January 2027), and Matt Carey-Williams Gallery in London from March 3–April 2, 2027.
